A Halloween Parade That Turns Into a Dance Party!
Start with the parade. Stay for the party!
Get ready to LIGHT IT UP! Watch the Boo, Scoot & Boogie Parade roll through downtown Beaver Dam, then stick around as S. Spring Street transforms into a giant family Glow Dance Party. This family-friendly kickoff to Fall Downtown Fest brings costumes, creativity, music, lights and Halloween spirit to the streets.
This isn’t your typical parade. It’s a walking and small-wheels night parade, so don’t just wear your costume—make it glow! Add string lights, glow sticks, light-up accessories, illuminated decorations or anything else that helps your entry shine. Light up your bike, wagon, stroller, UTV, ATV, costume or even your four-legged friend. Costumed, well-behaved, leashed dogs, following City of Beaver Dam leash and dog ordinances, are highly encouraged to join the fun. If your dog isn’t a fan of other dogs, people, or crowds and noise, please leave them at home. We want the parade to be a fun and safe experience for everyone—paws included!
Go spooky, silly, colorful or downright spectacular. The goal is participation, personality and community—and making downtown Beaver Dam glow with Halloween fun.
After the parade, keep the energy going as the street transforms into a family-friendly Glow Dance Party featuring a DJ, lights, dance contests, games and plenty of opportunities to show off your best moves.

Who Can Participate?
Everyone is invited to participate and get creative! Decorate or dress up:
UTVs and ATVs
Bikes
Strollers and wagons
Rollerblades
Small rides
Costumes
Costumed dogs
Or simply come in costume and walk the parade!
The brighter, glowier, and more creative, the better! Participants are encouraged to incorporate lights into their costumes and decorations to help make this nighttime parade a spectacular sight.
Parade Registration
Registration is required for all parade participants. There are two entry types:
Individuals – FREE
Join the fun just for the experience! No entry fee for individuals and groups participating for fun.
Promotional Groups – $10 per group
For businesses, nonprofits, organizations, clubs and other groups that want to promote themselves as part of the event, through signage, banners or other promotional displays or promotional handouts.
Simply participating is free. Promotion is $10 per group.
Parade Judging & Prizes
Show off your Halloween creativity—and LIGHT IT UP! Parade entries will be judged in the following categories:
🐾 Favorite Dog Costume Category
Show off your pup’s best Halloween look! Dogs can only be judged in the Favorite Dog Costume category. Prize is a Pup Gift Basket!
💡 Festive Lights Category
Make your entry shine! This category is all about creative use of lights and illuminated costumes, rides, decorations, and other Halloween creations.
Important: Each parade entry may choose ONE judging category. Dogs may only be entered in the Favorite Dog Costume category.

🥇 1st Place: $50 Beaver Dam Chamber Check for BIG wheels (ATV/UTV/Golf Cart/Lawn Mower)
🥇 1st Place: $50 Beaver Dam Chamber Check (No wheels/mini wheels/stroller/wagon/bike/scooter)
So plug in, power up, glow up, and get creative! We want to see Beaver Dam lit up for Halloween!
What Is the Parade Route?
The Boo, Scoot & Boogie Parade travels in a loop in downtown Beaver Dam along:
300 Block–100 Block of S. Spring Street
Spectators are encouraged to line the route, wear costumes, cheer, and light up the parade route too!
Parade lineup and participant instructions will be provided closer to the event.
When Does the Dance Party Start?
The parade may be over, but the fun is just getting started! After the Boo, Scoot and Boogie Parade, stay on S. Spring Street in front of the Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center to Boogie for a spooktacular Glow Dance Party where the whole family can dance, laugh, play and show off their best moves under the lights.

Get ready for all your favorites—from the Cupid Shuffle and Cha Cha Slide to the Macarena, YMCA, Chicken Dance, Electric Slide, Cotton Eye Joe and more!
Keep the Halloween fun going with music, dancing, costumes, lights, and plenty of community spirit. Both the parade and Dance Party are family-friendly events, so bring the whole family and dance the night away!

PHOTO & VIDEO NOTICE: By entering or participating in this event, you acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken and used by the Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center and event partners for promotional, marketing, social media, tourism and informational purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify event staff.
Boo, Scoot & Boogie Halloween Parade Waiver & Release Statement
(registration signifies acceptance of terms)
I hereby submit my application for participation in the Boo, Scoot & Boogie Halloween Parade. I agree to comply with all rules and regulations as determined by the Parade Committee, the Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center, and event officials.
I hereby release and hold harmless the City of Beaver Dam, the Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center, and all businesses, organizations, volunteers, and individuals involved in the parade from any and all personal liability and/or property damage to myself, my property, or other persons or their property, which may occur as a result of my participation in this event.
I understand that the Parade Committee reserves the right to reject any entry.
Animals & Dogs: If animals are included in my entry, I acknowledge that I am fully responsible for their care, control, and behavior throughout the parade. Dogs must be well-behaved, under the control of their owner/handler at all times and secured with a non-retractable leash and following City of Beaver Dam leash and dog ordinances. Owners/handlers are responsible for immediately cleaning up any animal waste that may occur along the parade route. I understand and agree that I assume full responsibility for any injury, damage, or incident involving my animal, including injury or damage to spectators, participants, volunteers, other animals, or property, and I agree to hold harmless the City of Beaver Dam, the Beaver Dam Chamber & Visitor Center, and all parade organizers, volunteers, and participants from any resulting liability.
