The Beaver Dam Area Orchestra (BDAO) is a nonprofit, community-driven orchestra dedicated to enriching lives through music. Founded in 1954 by Glenn Wood and officially incorporated in 1988, BDAO has spent over six decades providing free concerts, educational experiences, and musical opportunities to Beaver Dam and the surrounding communities.

Comprised of talented volunteer musicians from across Dodge County and beyond, the orchestra performs a wide range of classical and contemporary works—making the arts accessible to all. The BDAO is proud to promote music education through its student scholarship program, which supports local youth who have participated in the orchestra and are pursuing higher education in music.
